Students entering Providence High School may choose from 2 courses of study: The General High School Diploma program requires 19 credits and the College Preparatory High School Diploma program requires 21 credits.
Students choosing the General program will have the satisfaction of completing a high school diploma that can open the door for many jobs that require a high school diploma or possible entrance into vocational and technical schools.
Students choosing the College Preparatory program should check the requirements for the college they plan to enter so that they can complete the necessary pre-college requirements for that particular school. PHS does not guarantee unconditional college admission, though our college preparatory curriculum meets the entrance requirements of most post secondary schools. |

GRADING
Students receive percent (%) grades for exams they take. Those percents may be translated into letter grades according to the following scale:
